This art quilt started in a 100 days of creativity SAQA group in late 2019. I  have dyed lots of indigo fabric over the years and have saved all the scraps. I cut the scraps into 5-inch squares that I fused to a layer of batting. Each day, I would grab one of the squares out of my basket and do some spontaneous stitching. I often let the fragment of indigo tell me how to stitch and sometimes I was more disciplined. When the 100 squares were done, I wanted to continue the hand stitching so, that all of the squares are sewn together by hand. The edge is also hand embroidered.
