Postcards

Making Fiberart Postcards has been a special project for me. In 2005, I challenged myself to make a fiber postcard to send for each time I would have sent a greeting card or thank you note. I made and sent hundreds of cards. Each card is the size of a regular postcard — 4” X 6”. The back of the postcard is cardstock and has a place for address and writing a note. I place a first class stamp on each one and put it in the mail. For the past two years I took part in Fiberart for a Cause, a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society spearheaded by fiber artist, Virginia Spiegel. One of the postcards that I made (Purple Rain) was purchased by Karey Bresenhan, President of Quilts, Inc. for their permanent collection. It was published in an article about the fundraiser in the magazine Cloth, Paper, Scissors.

Here are some samples of the cards that I have made. I will soon have new cards available for purchase.
