How Does Your Garden Grow?

I made a visit to my neglected raised bed on the side of the garage. The warm weather has done its work.

This is what the yellow scallop squash looks like at first glance.

On closer inspection, I found these:

We had squash fritters for dinner.

My red and yellow cherry tomatoes are getting ripe. The yellows are so sweet. We had a cherry tomato and basil salad with goat cheese for dinner, also.

There are lots of future tomatoes including these Roma – there are a multitude of Romas.

We have harvested one green pepper, and I have one tiny eggplant – so cute!

Mr C doesn’t understand why I must have a vegetable garden. It is in my genes!

Of course you have to have a vegetable garden. You are a farmer’s daughter. Loved the picture of Paige with Mark. Such a beautiful baby.

I do understand, although I don’t feel the need to have a veggie garden anymore. CSA baskets are enough for me. I made an awesome eggplant stir fry for lunch today – really excellent with quinoa.

These little vegetables look so beautiful and yummy. I didn”t grow any vegetable this year and I’m missing it.

Yes, C took me away from the farm, but can’t take the farm out of me! Beautiful bounty! Our cherry tomatoes are turning. They were doing great and then the heat hit. That was okay as they were out running the wisteria. LOL! Have a wonderful weekend.
