Moonraking and Mole Wrangling

I finally got my little butt down in the studio today and started work on a piece that has been percolating since I took the indigo shibori class. The fabric is all linen. I bought some red linen which I really like with the indigo. I have started doing some stitching with red perle cotton. I am going to leave the linen pieces with raw edges. The working title is Indigo Moons.

My friend, Dee, called our mole escapade, mole wrangling. We have had some success. Kelly, the mole lady, came by today and we have one less mole to contend with. She thinks it may be the only one. It seemed unbelievable to us that one mole could make the mess in our yard. She says that they eat their weight in worms and grubs every day so they have to cover a lot of territory.

Tomorrow, after I do my post vacation weigh in at Weight Watchers, Steph and M & M and I are going to check out the new IKEA. I have a shopping list ready.

Love the new work in progress….Indigo Moons, can’t wait to see how it turns out. I’ve never had a mole problem…..but I hope it clears up soon.

Congrats on the mole wrangling. I’m glad you don’t have to resort to “whack-a- mole” tactics!! I’m liking Indigo Moons — that red linen has the perfect punch for the indigo.

Love the Indigo Moons….but what else is new? Your work is lovely!

I forgot to say that everytime we have tthe mole discussion I get a picture of you and I playing whack-a-mole in the garden. Makes me chuckle to myself in a suspicious way causing the family to give me a wide berth..OH! I forgot, they do that anyway lately. Love ya!

At $25 a wrangle-I may have to go into a new business. Roger says “If there is one she found-there is most likely a mate somewhere” Maybe he scurried off to mourn elsewhere. I am loving the indigo moons. Vacation has energized you, yes?

“Mole wrangling” !! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!
I’ve never seen a mole in real life but they always look so cute in pics. I had no idea that they are such a pest and so destructive.
