Exploring Layers – Oregon SAQA Exhibit

saqajill-chris

I promised some Facebook friends that I would post photos of the SAQA Oregon Exploring Layers show. I sat the gallery on Saturday and had time to take photos. Above is Jill Hoddick’s South Rim, Grand Canyon and one of Chris Brown’s charming horse sculptures, View from Rowena Crest.

I didn’t post a photo of Walking with Scooter and Mr C – you have seen it often enough.

I have been busy since I last posted. I made it through my first art quilt workshop at Trinity. I had a lovely Mother’s day with my girls.

I have also been working on my Master Class May assignment. More about that tomorrow!

I wasn’t able to get to the exhibition before I left for home so thank you for posting these images. I’m sorry I missed it.

  2. Elizabeth Bamberger says:

Wow, you certainly made good use of your shift, Gerrie. Fabulous photos; thank you for spreading the word to so many people. May I add that if this has inspired you to come see the artworks in person, the exhibit will be up until May 16 (This coming Saturday). We’ll have a final gallery reception from 5 to 8 pm, with wine, snacks and wonderful company. Please come and celebrate with us at this very last appearance of “Exploring Layers”. It’s at the AIR Gallery on the 3rd floor of the Pioneer Place Shopping Center in Portland, one block East of Pioneer Square. See you there!

WOW! Was cooking dinner last night watching the NBC Nightly News (we’re on the east coast) and your daughter was interviewed as part of a report on coloring books. Way Cool – she’s now in the national spotlight.
