Fired Up and Ready to Go

I spent the last two days getting stuff put away and cleaning up my office and studio after my 6 week online workshop frenzy with Liz Berg. I still have to do my final project, but I couldn’t even think in the mess I had created. Mr C came down and swept, vacuumed and washed the floors in my studio.

Yesterday, I went bopping out the back door to take Maggie for a walk and tripped over a package on the step. It was from my quilt daughter in Germany, Kristin. It contained a beautiful Polish pottery cross. It is not like any other I have in my collection so I was thrilled to see it. I also loved the card which was designed by Victoria Cole of Two Hand Design.

The family came over for dinner tonight.

I made another tagine dish. This was lamb with lots of Moroccan spices, butternut squash, carrots, peppers, onions and apricots. It was sooo good, served over couscous.

We had strawberries and grapes for dessert, accompanied by Waldmeister gummy gnomes, which were in the package from Kristin, for Mia and Miles. They have the flavor of woodruff, which is used in Germany to flavor May wine.

We have had lots of sun over the past week or so. It rained quite hard yesterday, but who cares when you get sun breaks, too.

Since I’m all about the food….yum!
You could have classes in that space-what fun. Beautiful cross.

OK, I know about the Ten Commandments and the ticky one that says “thou shalt not covet”, but I’m having problems NOT coveting the husband who sweeps, vacuums AND washes your studio floor, not to mention that fabulous cross from Kristin!

I guess I could get a bit covetous about the Sunday night dinner too, but I’ll just let that one slide for the time being! LOL

wow Gerrie, I can’t remember seeing a wide shot of your studio. It’s looks very cool and I like the floor. I guess it looks extra spiffy with that spit and shine — my husband would never do that!!!

So that’s why my grandfather always had woodruff wine in the spring!! The place looks great. If my DH would have done stuff like that I would still be married!

    Hugs,

Wow, your studio looks awesome! I wish some gnomes would come to my house and get mine in order ;).
