Just Another Tuesday

I am having this problem of having my days get away from me and not accomplishing very much on my mental to do list. It is not as if I am lounging by the pool. I am getting lots of things done, but life gets in the way of what I really want to do. Take today, I had some SDA web work to do. I went to the grocery store to shop for the next few days. I took Maggie for a walk. Steve picked up our tile sample for the bathroom so we decided to drive across town to the other tile store to look at tile for the floor. By the time I got back home, it was gong on 4 pm and raining again. Instead of a walk, I did a 20 minute upper body weight training video. Then, I have to watch Keith Olbermann. I made a delicious dinner of maple syrup/balsamic glazed salmon, roasted green beans and a Caesar salad. The day is over!!

Here is the tile. I love the weave that they have created from the colors I chose. The tile in the back is an Italian tile in a taupe – it is not as dark as it seems in the photo – that will be the floor. We have to do our final design and order the tile next week because the renovation will start a few days after we get back from Israel, around May 26.

My foot is feeling much better. A pair of orthopedic Crocs arrived today. They are made for Plantar Fasciitis problems. They feel great on my feet.

    Gerrie,
I so enjoyed reading about the art critique. I love your work, and it was so interesting to see what comparisons and comments were made.
I always look forward to the day when I am retired, thinking I will have more time for what I really want to do. Maybe not, eh? Glad your foot is feeling better. Jen

Lettting everyone from my link list know that my 10,000th visitor is coming soon, and that lucky person will be receiving a gift – take a peek!

The tile is delicious! You will feel like you are under a waterfall when you take your showers!
Tell me more about those orthopedic crocs!
I know how you feel about not getting everything done on your mental todo list! Could the bathroom reno and the upcoming trip have anything at all to do with this feeling of pressure? Hmmmm? LOL

    xo

I hope you have a fantastic time in Israel. We were there for my daughters Bat Mitzvah on the top of Masada about 10 years ago. I still remember the feeling that came over me when we were in the Church of the Holy Seplecur(sp?)All the various religions that pray there were preparing for Easter and it was a magical moment.
In the L.A. Times this week there was an article about Vitamin E helping plantar fasciatis. Apparently it is an antiinflamatory. I had this when I was still a practicing nurse and I soaked my foot in ice every night which helped a lot. I would do anything to avoid those cortisone shots!

Jeff and I love Keith Olberman! (Though I still love Jon Stewart more.) You’d love Faith Salie on the NPR show Fair Game. If you’re looking for some “talk” to download to your ipod, be sure to check her out.

The tile is beautiful Gerrie. Yummy colors. Glad the foot is feeling better. Somedays I wish we could push a button and slow down the hours. There’s never enough time to get it all in but you’re doing pretty well
