iPhone Photography

Wednesday, February 9th, 2011

My new iPhone has a feature that my old phone did not have. When I am listening to music, I can use other apps. I have been taking photos on my walk this week. I am also quite impressed with the quality of the photos. Late yesterday, just before sunset, I went down to the Rhodie Garden and got this photo of ducks sitting on a partially submerged log. You can click any of these to see them larger.

Here are the other photos I took yesterday:

Some geese swimming in parade mode

Hellebores are in bloom through out the garden.

Some Azaleas are also blooming.

Today, I found some other harbingers of spring.

I never tire of a mossy wall.

Last month, these orange plastic ribbons turned up in our neighborhood. We saw them on every street – some houses had several in one tree. We finally found out that they are for a neighborhood mom who is undergoing cancer treatments. The ribbons will stay until she hopefully comes home in remission.

Yesterday, we did the jurying of the Back to Nature show. We selected 18 of the thirty submitted pieces. The three jurors are only having one piece each in the show so that we could include more members. I think it is going to be a very nice show. My High Desert Aspen Grove will be part of the show.

I am still struggling with my studio practice. I am having a hard time getting it back to a regular schedule I know it makes me happier. I need to neaten up from my last project and get to work on two large pieces and the next Twelve X Twelve piece. The trip to Japan is coming up and I need to have some work done before I go.

I am too much into the MaƱana mode! Then, tomorrow never comes.
