Another Opening, Another Show

Not Philadelphia or Buffalo, but Roseburg, Oregon. A smallish city between Ashland and Eugene, Oregon. Out Line Dancing show with a horizontal lime green line in each piece is now hung at the Umpqua Valley Art Association. See more photos on my Flickr Set about the show.

It looks really great! My Indigo Construction piece is on a smoked glass room divider as you walk in. It really looked fabulous.

My Sea of Salt piece is on the right in this shot.

Here are two more of Terry’ pieces.

Even the food was lime green dancing inspired. All of the staff wore lime green. They were really into it!!

One of the galleries had a fabulous basket show. When my quilts come home, this one is coming home with them. And, of course, it has lime green lines.

There were nine of us at the reception and 4 husbands. We had a good time.

All I have to say is “gone on with your bad selves”…your artist group looks so happening in this exhibit. If I could I would snap Terry’s two pieces up…the ones with the squares in the rectangles…and your quilt on the smoky glass ad the lighting is slammming!!!

    Who is the basket artist?

  3. Paige says:

Gerrie, would you mind telling a long-time reader but first-time commenter (I think) where you buy supplies for dyeing, painting, etc. in Portland? I read but don’t comment, usually, because with 2 small kids (4 and 2), I barely have time to read. You’ve been a real inspiration to me, though, as I’ve tiptoed into creating my own cloth, and I’ll be over in Portland (from Spokane) in a few weeks, and I want to buy whatever kinds of things I can get my hands on. (Heretofore, Portland has meant Powells and OMSI. Oh, and the cupcake places.)

I know I can buy online, and I’ve been able to purchase basic dyes in stores here, but I like to pick up and touch things when I’m buying them for the first time, and my computer won’t let me do that yet.

I LOVE Sea of Salt, by the way. It’s of my favorites of yours–I think you got it exactly right.

Oh, boo hoo! I wish I had been there! But I am glad to see your pictures. It does look good, doesn’t it? Did we choose well?

  11. Kristin L says:

Oh, I wish i could have been there. It really does look great and it’s so cool that the staff got into it too. It’s even better that the other galleries picked up on your line dance as well 😉 Beautiful basket.
