More art in the mail

I was not happy with the Joshua Tree National Park at night card so with the magic of fabric ink pens, I did some work on it. Is it better?

Here is the first attempt:

Here is the enhanced attempt:

Here is a card I did for my sister, Carole’s, birthday. I hope she is not checking in before she gets this. I printed black and white photos of her as a child on silk and then colored them with Tsukiniko inks. It is hard to work this small!

I’m off to have lunch with my quilting buddies, Patsy and Diane, our list mom.

    Hi!
I am a brand new quilter, being taught by my MUCH LOVED grandma who is a stickler for staright lines, edges and geometric patterns. Your work is UNBELIEAVABLE. You are one of the most talented quilters ever. Even more so than Denyse Scmidt (my idol!)
Thanks for showing me a wonderful new world of deign and excitement.
I am also a cancer survivor (and I’m only 25!), and you are just awesome for continuing to be creative and having the inner faith and courage to grow and create through unbelievably difficult times. Your work and your life are inspiring.
I’ll be visiting often, you have a new fan in me!

The color added enhances the Joshua Tree (more is better!), although, I liked it before. Also, the postcard for your sister is sooooooooooooooo sweet. I love that! The color is fabu and the hand colored photos are a wonderful addition. YUM.

I like both of the versions very much…it is a good design so I don’t think the color matters…course the monitor sometimes fools the eye but I’m sticking with the good design…Ginger
