A Beautiful Day in Tahoe…

but who noticed, I was slaving away in my classroom. It was landscape day and I wanted to get as much input and feedback from Sue Benner as I could. I chose this photo of autumn Aspens:

Here is my version:

From across the room, you can really see the reflection. Sue was very happy with it. And so am I.

One of the great things about being here first week is getting to be first to sign up for next year and you get a discount. Here is the faculty for week one:

Paula Nadlestern
Elizabeth Barton

Here is a quilt by Elizabeth:

They will be on the Art Quilt Tahoe website with more description of their work when the current sessions are over. So look them over and sign up for next year!!

And, dessert du jour! DebR wondered what last night’s dessert was. I think it was sort of an apple strudel. This was some sort of creamy decadent thing.

    Gerrie,
I love your aspen quilt. You are so lucky to be able to attend all of these workshops/events.

    looking really good! That’s a stunner!…the aspens…not the dessert!

    See ya tomorrow!

Gerrie, that aspen quilt makes me ecstatic. Seriously.

Thanks for sharing the group of artist teachers for next year. I think I WILL sign up, but I still don’t know who to take. All of them, one at a time, I guess. Could take years. Jen

I like your aspen quilt better than the aspen photo!

Their pastry chef has a bit of a strawberry-and-whipped cream garnish fetish, doesn’t s/he? Not that there’s anything wrong with that. 🙂

    Gerrie,

Your aspens are GORGEOUS!!!I want to take a class with Sue Benner…talk to Marlene Reasoner, she just went out to dinner with, and took a class with Carol Taylor and loved it…I would love to take a class with Elizabeth Barton, too. I don’t think QBL has desserts quite like Tahoe’s. I’m going to check out their website….thanks! God, those Aspens are beautiful!!!!
