I have the silk squares fused and have started placing the rainbow of crosses. However, I think I need to quilt the squares before I fuse the crosses so that will be my next step – fuse the backing and start some simple quilting.

The colors are yummy! Looks great!
the scale of this is fantastic, mom. how lucky you are to have a space in which you can comfortably work on it. and you know I love the colors.
Hi Teri,
It’s looking really nice, just like all your work! I love the colors and the design 🙂
Would you try something for me though? I’d love to see what it looks like with two crosses almost on top of each other so one is like a shadow of the other. Like depth… Sorry, I’m not good at explaining things with words. It would be so easy to draw if only I could. If you don’t do it I’m going to have to copy yours just to see how it would look! Just kidding.
BTW, I love your blog and check it daily. Keep up the great work!

Looking great, Gerrie!! I agree…quilt the squares first then fuse the crosses. That’s what I do. I do the basic, quilt it….then I do the envelope backing, then fuse the other stuff (in your case, the crosses) and do a simple quilting of them thru the completed backing. BTW, is the silk dupioni?? Did you dye the silk yourself or purchase a range of colors??
