This and That on a Friday in June

Unknown

My laptop came home today. No charge. It is all better. As you see, it could have been worse.

Yesterday, I went shopping at Fabric Depot and I didn’t buy fabric!! This is what I bought:

Fabricdepotpurchases

Beads for the fish quilt, silk and organza fabric sheets for the printer and sulky rayon thread for satin stitching the crosses.

Today, I put the quilt up on the design wall and started placing and pinning the crosses  Once I am satisfied with the design. I will lightly fuse them right on the design wall.

Onthedesignwall

I am still cutting crosses, as I see what I need. So far not one of you has shown up to help me!!

Yesterday, I walked over 12,000 steps so today I coasted and only walked 8500+.

Pictures are posted from my most unexpected presence at the QUILT WALK in Panguitch Utah, where a renowned 82 year old QUILTING PIONEER, Blanch Young- gave an hour talk and WALK through her LIFE OF QUILTING-just amazing. Do come and see -add any comments as I have zero quilting knowledge and or skills. Share them with your QUILTING FRIENDS!

It looks like you are doing just fine without any help from the peanut gallery!
Have you tried the Extrav Organza sheets yet? I have ordered some and can’t wait to get my hands on them! I’d love to hear what you think of them.

I would love to help you if you weren’t so far away. This will be wonderful when completed. Is that Maggie or a new puppy?

Well, if you were still in Santa Rosa I’d drive up to help! Katy could do without me for a couple hours. But you had to move to Portland…

    Serves ya right.
