Snow On Snow

I am being the geek this afternoon, trying to figure out how to get photos from my camera-to the iPad-then into my blog. I used my new connector to get them on the iPad. But I could not upload them to the blog in the usual way. So, I used my Flickr app to post them there. Then, was able to copy and paste the URL for the photo into the blog. Whew!

We had no travel problems on Thursday, just a lot of take offs and landings. We made it to the calling hours about half way through. I missed seeing many friends who had come earlier.

It is the bleak mid-winter -cold and snow on snow.

The service for Ray was beautifully done with lots of special music, readings and lovely comments from those who loved and admired this gentle man -a man of few words, but always kind words and a constant twinkle in his eye. My sister is holding up as best as she can. I am not sure it has all sunk in yet.

It was wonderful to spend time with family members and to become reacquainted with some kids I have not seen for some time.

I am having a laid back day with my sis, Carole and family. Mia has pneumonia. I called her yesterday on her 11th birthday and she sounded so sick, I almost could cry. I look forward to getting home to help out. At least I can entertain Miles while mom and dad and Mia get well.

Tomorrow, we travel to Philadelphia to Phoenix and then to Portland.
Please excuse any typos; it is too much trouble to edit on the iPad.

busy times for you! I know it was a huge comfort for your sister to have you there with her during this sad time, but I’m sure you are torn with Mia home sick with pneumonia. I hope you find her on the mend when you arrive back in Portland.

take care and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers

Prayers for Mia from me. Hoping you have safe and trouble free travels back home. Rest up when you can. It’s been an emotional rollercoaster these past weeks.

Poor Mia, I hope she is feeling well soon.

  5. Warmer here relatively than it was in New York City. And the rain, of course. Thanks for the input on uploading to blog; have to start trying from my iPod touch. Am definitely in over my head.

Excellent self-portrait in earlier post. Think I need to come here more often for learning how-to. Hope the trip back was smooth.
