Great work. The 12′s have been an inspiration to “sew” many of us! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and art.

Susan selected the fabric so I hope that Edie is happy with the Twelve by Twelve book!! Send me your snail mail address. I will get all of the gifts in the mail on Monday.

Thank you to all of you who played along.

I just figured out that the 3 x3 piece will be about 7.5 feet long unless I make it wider but I don’t think that I want to do that. Here it is with 14 rows.

We saw Silver Linings Playbook tonight. It is a fantastic movie. I highly recommend it.

Here is today’s drawing, which I did after a big glass of red wine!!

Congratulations. I’ve been reading your blog for several years. I especially liked the 3 x 3′s. I enjoy reading about your quilts and other projects.
Betty selected the art quilt so I need to know your choice, Nancy – The Twelve by Twelve book or the dupioni silk fabric? Send me an e-mail with your choice and your snail mail.
Tomorrow, I will do the last random number selection.
Mr C continued work on the ceiling hole and in fact, it is all fixed. He did some touch up painting. He used some vile spray texturizer on the drywall. It made me sick so I did not spend much time in my studio today. I added a few more rows to the 3 x 3 installation.
See how nice the patched ceiling looks?
I went back to a simple pencil sketch for my drawing today.

I check your blog almost daily and it’s always interesting!
Congrats on your anniversary! I had to look up Josef Albers art and really enjoy it. I googled images and could see a lot of his work as fabric art. Your art quilt would be a very nice prize! Thanks for the giveaway.

So, Betty, let me know which of the goodies I have that you would like to have and your snail mail address. After I hear from Betty, I will select the second winner. This is fun!!

I finished sealing the edges of all my 3 x 3s.

I love how they look in their little piles.

After thinking when I walk, waking up at night pondering and cogitating for days, I have an idea of how I am going to place the squares for the wallhanging. Here is the layout so far.

And look at this! I am not crabby anymore. Every thing is covered with plastic.

Progress is being made on repairing the hole.

My last two drawings are very uninspired. I need to get a better pen, if I am going to draw with a pen instead of a pencil, which Terry Grant recommends on her drawing blog, Pen, Pencil, Paper – Draw!

Crabby Old Lady

Tuesday, February 5th, 2013

That is how I felt today. Cranky. Hungry. Out of sorts. Why? Who knows. Gray skies and rain? Mr C in my studio?

He is finally repairing a hole he made in my studio ceiling back in the day when he and Mark built our new deck. That was almost 2 years ago. I found tools with white wall board dust on some fabric on my cutting table. He didn’t cover my sewing machine with plastic and it got all dusty. This is on the floor and being tracked every where.

I am happy he is getting it done, but it is like my sanctuary and it is being invaded. I stayed on the other side of the room and continued sealing the edges of my 3 x 3s.

My little finished piles are adding up. I only have 3 more months to seal.

Here is my drawing for today – a wrought iron candle stick.

I will be in a better mood tomorrow, I hope.
